Producing and sharing knowledge has been the main objective of the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Sorocaba. The focus on the rational use of medicines is justified by it being one of the world’s main concerns, with an important impact on society, health systems, institutions, communities and individuals. The qualification of professional practices depends on the engagement of researchers, health professionals, managers, students and others interested in improving health policies, programs, services and actions. Developing and applying scientific methods in the production and use of the best evidence is the path we choose. Therefore, everyone is invited to discuss relevant topics in this field of knowledge, including: Drug Utilization Research; Health Technology Assessment; Methods in Clinical Epidemiology; Economic Research and Equity; Global Health Systems; environment. Experts on deprescribing, interactive teaching approaches, implementation science and policy, environment and pharmaceutical care from various countries will be with us sharing their experiences and fostering debate. We are sure that social distancing, indispensable in this period, will not represent an impediment to new connections, establishing effective and promising collaborations, that are capable of transforming reality.
